What are your Covid-19 safety guidelines?

I take the safety and health of my clients very seriously. All individual sessions are available via a HIPAA compliant, confidential telehealth video platform if individuals are sick. The commonly used surfaces are frequently cleaned and an air filter is in my office for safety protocols. You are welcome to wear a mask if preferred.

What are your credentials?

I am a Registered Dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration. Professional development includes: Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition & Dietetics with a Minor in Psychology & Master of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences. I am also a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).

What is the difference between a Registered Dietitian and a Nutritionist?

A Registered Dietitian undergoes a Bachelor of Science degree, completes 1200 hours of supervised practice, and sits for a national board exam. The term, "Nutritionist" is not regulated, so anyone can call themselves one.

Do you accept insurance?

I am not affiliated with any insurance companies; however, I can provide a superbill for you to request reimbursement from your insurance company as an out-of-network provider for your services. Please inquire with your insurance company whether your plan offers reimbursement requests from out-of-network providers.

What type of payment do you accept?

Cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, credit card or HSA/FSA card. Checks can be made out to: Courtney D Toya Nutrition.
